Durante esta eventualidad ha habido trabajadores que, sin importar horarios, distancias, riesgos y estar fuera de la seguridad de su hogar, se han dedicado de forma comprometida a trabajar para que a la mayoría de los guatemaltecos no les falten los servicios básicos y esenciales de subsistencia.
Es por ello que hoy mi saludo y agradecimiento va para todo el personal que en estos días ha estado trabajando de forma cotidiana y constante en los Sistemas de Transmisión y Plantas Generadoras de energía eléctrica para que los hospitales, industria, comercio y en los hogares de los guatemaltecos no falte este suministro tan esencial y vital para el desarrollo social y económico de Guatemala.
Quiero reconocer de forma incansable, con el único propósito de buscar el bien común en beneficio de los guatemaltecos, su contribución para paliar esta crisis es tan importante y necesaria, al igual que la labor de miles de trabajadores que durante este tiempo de cese de actividades han redoblado esfuerzos para que la mayoría de guatemaltecos puedan superar esta etapa sin mayores repercusiones.
Nuevamente reafirmamos que los valores que más caracterizan al guatemalteco son la solidaridad y el amor a su patria, es por ello, que insto al subsector de energía eléctrica a que siga trabajando con ese alto espíritu de compromiso y trabajo en equipo, tomando las medidas de salvaguarda necesarias para garantizar la salud e integridad física de cada trabajador.
Hoy más que nunca nos han demostrado que la electricidad es el alma del Universo.
